Challenges of being a disruptive company…
One of the hardest things that we are confronted with is convincing offices “that have not used us”, of the quality of our lenses and coatings. We have fantastic lenses and coatings and we are not afraid to put them against anything you are currently using. We try not to sell on price, we try to communicate that we level the playing field and allow you to determine how you want to leverage the value we offer. The challenge we have is when our prices show that we are $100 less expensive on a high index progressive lens with premium Non-Glare coatings. How do we explain this? We try to do it honestly… The reality is our labs use the best optical equipment available, have extensive quality programs, and have proven themselves with millions of RX’s. Our costs are similar to many large production labs globally, only we pass on the savings. Large vertically integrated retailers do not pay what you do for similar products.
For the recent launch of our newɛpɪk™ Lens Series we also partnered with one of the world’s best lens designers. People are “honestly” saying wow, both when they wear our lenses, and when they look at the value we bring. Are we perfect? No, we are not… but we are really good, and we continue to work hard to get better. We love independents, and we are setting out to prove it. We can’t thank our supporters enough for helping us.
